‘Cornwall Blood Bikes’ are Oll an Gwella’s current chosen charity. Each volunteer rider carries ‘out of hours’ Urgent and Emergency medical items to units around Cornwall and beyond, linking the Medical facilities of the SW Peninsular.
The Boardmasters Surf and Music Festival takes place in Newquay each summer, in the month of August. Oll an Gwella were delighted to be invited to open the Main Stage at the Festival in 2018 and commissioned their own arrangement of a popular George Ezra number to be sung at that time.
GK Sales have supplied our sound kit for use at outside or large venues. Gary offered excellent advice and competitive pricing and is available at the workshop at Pool, Redruth should you wish to call in

Newquay Male Voice Choir are the group from which our volunteer members are drawn, on the understanding that they will get a great deal of additional singing. The full choir meet on Wednesday evenings at 7.00pm in St Michael’s Church, Newquay, for their rehearsal with Musical Director Richard Braebrook and accompanist Simone Maier. Oll an Gwella meet at 7.00pm on a Thursday evening for their acapella rehearsal.

Cloud Above host our Website with superb facilities and look after our every need in terms of providing an excellent, functioning and protected web presence for which we are most grateful

Audio Studio 4 is a small studio unit in Newquay run by Karel who is a very helpful and supportive sound engineer. This studio is where we recorded our 2nd charity CD “All the best” by Oll an Gwella allowing us to keep production costs to a minimum.  With support from Newquay Lions we have been able to pass on significant funding (now over £12,500) to CBB.

Treviglas Community College (now Treviglas Academy) music team led by Steve Mildenhall, hosted, recorded and produced Oll an Gwella’s 1st Charity CD entitled “Working with Amateurs” in their Sound Studio as part of a Work Experience programme for Advanced Students studying music.  This support for production costs enabled us to pass £1,200 to Cornish Cancer Charities.

Lowender Peran organise an Interceltic Festival in Cornwall at the end of October or very start of November. Based on the Hotel Bristol, in Newquay, we are pleased and proud to work with them and enjoy both our performances, which include a little Kernewek (Cornish Language) and we also enjoy working with with local schools to organise Choral Workshops with a clear focus on Cornish songs!
